Tree Planting

GEC, in partnership with the Selangor Forestry Department and Sathya Sai Council, is organizing a tree planting event EVERY SATURDAY in May! We're getting into some serious business trying to re-grow an entire forest at the Raja Musa Peat Swamp and we have 80,000 seedlings to plant this year.

With that, we need some (okay, actually we need ALOT of) man (and woman) power to help us get these seedlings back where they belong. So if you have a Saturday morning (8.30am - noon) to spare, come join us in this wonderful opportunity to grow this forest back to its original state.

Dates: 1 May, 8 May, 15 May, 22 May, 29 May
Time : 8.30am -12.30pm
Location : Raja Musa Forest Reserve, Batang Berjuntai

Meet up point for Car Pool Arrangement :
GEC office at SS2
2nd Floor, Wisma Hing, No 78 Jalan SS2/72,
47300 Petaling Jaya Selangor.

Leaving from SS2: 7am
Arrival at Raja Musa : approximately 8am

Please bring:
a. Drinking water (we pledge to produce as little rubbish as possible)
b. Snacks
c. Sunblock
d. Change of clothes

Please wear:
- Long sleeve shirt (to protect yourself from the sun and scratches)
- Long pants
- Old pair of shoes (that you won't mind getting dirty)
